It's a financial contribution requested for the adoption of the dog. 

This contribution helps us cover a small portion of the expenses incurred for the dog.  

When they leave with their adopters, the dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, tested for tropical diseases, and treated for parasites (fleas, ticks, and worms). 

Adoptions in France are slightly more expensive because there's an additional cost for transporting the dog. We have a dedicated employee who handles adoptions on the mainland and will be your contact there.
